God Welcomes All
 THEMBA AMEN

God welcomes all,

Call to Worship                  Nannette Notor

Leader:  Lift up your voice like a trumpet!
People: Happy are those who fear the LORD,
who greatly delight in his commandments.

Leader: Shout out, do not hold back!
People: We will not be silent to injustice
Leader:  Shout out, do not hold back!
People: We will not be silent to persecution
Leader: Shout out, do not hold back!
People:  We will not be silent to hunger
Leader:  Shout out, do not hold back!
People: We will not be silent to persecution
Leader: Is not this the fast that we choose:
to loose the bonds of injustice,
to undo the thongs of the yoke,
to let the oppressed go free,
and to break every yoke?
People:  Praise the LORD!

Hymn
Holy Spirit
CCLI #6087919

There's nothing worth more
 that will ever come close
No thing can compare
You're our living hope
Your Presence

I've tasted and seen of the sweetest of loves
Where my heart becomes free and my shame is undone
In Your Presence Lord

Holy Spirit You are welcome here
Come flood this place and fill the atmosphere
Your glory God is what our hearts long for
To be overcome by Your Presence Lord
Your Presence Lord

There's nothing worth
more that will ever come close
No thing can compare
You're our living hope
Your Presence

I've tasted and seen of the sweetest of loves
Where my heart becomes free
and my shame is undone
In Your Presence Lord

Holy Spirit You are welcome here
Come flood this place and fill the atmosphere
Your glory God is what our hearts long for
To be overcome by Your Presence Lord

Holy Spirit You are welcome here
Come flood this place and fill the atmosphere
Your glory God is what our hearts long for
To be overcome by Your Presence Lord

Your Presence Lord
Your Presence
How we love Your Presence Lord

Let us become more aware of Your Presence
Let us experience the glory of Your goodness

Let us become more aware of Your Presence
Let us experience the glory of Your goodness

Let us become more aware of Your Presence
Let us experience the glory of Your goodness

Let us become more aware of Your Presence
Let us experience the glory of Your goodness
Lord

Holy Spirit You are welcome here
Come flood this place and fill the atmosphere
Your glory God is what our hearts long for
To be overcome by Your Presence Lord

Call to Confession

Let us confess our sins before God, our help in times of trouble.

Prayer of Confession

Almighty God,
we have asked for your righteous judgment against others,
but we have not acknowledged the sin in our own lives.
We have worshiped you with our lips,
but have dishonored you with our actions.
We have prayed for you to end the suffering in our world,
yet we have not practiced
compassion and generosity toward others.

Our religion has become the source of quarreling
rather than a testimony to your grace.

Forgive our self-righteousness and give us integrity of heart,
that we may shine forth the light of your salvation,
through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Hymn
My Lighthouse
CCLI # 7002032

In my wrestling and in my doubts
In my failures You won't walk out
Your great love will lead me through
You are the peace in my troubled sea
whoa oh
You are the peace in my troubled sea

In the silence You won't let go
In the questions Your truth will hold
Your great love will lead me through
You are the peace in my troubled sea
whoa oh
You are the peace in my troubled sea

My Lighthouse my Lighthouse
Shining in the darkness
I will follow You oh
My Lighthouse my Lighthouse
I will trust the promise
You will carry me safe to shore
Safe to shore, safe to shore, safe to shore

I won't fear what tomorrow brings
With each morning I'll rise and sing
My God's love will lead me through
You are the peace in my troubled sea whoa oh
You are the peace in my troubled sea

My Lighthouse my Lighthouse
Shining in the darkness
I will follow You oh
My Lighthouse my Lighthouse
I will trust the promise
You will carry me safe to shore
Safe to shore, safe to shore, safe to shore

Fire before us, You're the brightest
You will lead us, Through the storms
Fire before us, You're the brightest
You will lead us, Through the storms

Fire before us, You're the brightest
You will lead us, Through the storms

Fire before us, You're the brightest
You will lead us, Through the storms

My Lighthouse my Lighthouse
Shining in the darkness
I will follow You oh
My Lighthouse my Lighthouse
I will trust the promise
You will carry me safe to shore
Safe to shore, safe to shore, safe to shore

The Lord’s Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power,
and the glory, forever. Amen

Hymn

All the People Said Amen
CCLI # 6518275

You are not alone if you are lonely
When you feel afraid you're not the only
We are all the same in need of mercy
To be forgiven and be free
It's all you got to lean on
But thank God it's all you need

And all the people said amen whoa
And all the people said amen
Give thanks to the Lord
for His love never ends
And all the people said amen

If you're rich or poor well it don't matter
Weak or strong you know love
 is what we're after
We're all broken but we're all in this together
God knows we stumble and fall
And He so loved the world
He sent His son to save us all

And all the people said amen whoa
And all the people said amen
Give thanks to the Lord
for His love never ends
And all the people said amen

Blessed are the poor in spirit
who are torn apart
Blessed are the persecuted
and the pure in heart
Blessed are the people
hungry for another start
For theirs is the kingdom
the kingdom of God

And all the people said amen whoa
And all the people said amen
Give thanks to the Lord
for His love never ends
And all the people said amen

And all the people said amen whoa
And all the people said amen
Give thanks to the Lord
for His love never ends
And all the people said amen
And all the people said Amen.

Closing Hymn #80
You Shall Go Out With Joy
TREES OF THE FIELD

You shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace;
the mountains and the hills will break forth before you;
there’ll be shouts of joy, and all the trees of the field
will clap, will clap their hands.
And all the trees of the field will clap their hands;
the trees of the field will clap their hands;
the trees of the field will clap their hands
while you go out with joy.
