Call to Confession
When we keep our fears and faults locked up inside us,
it is hard to be healed and receive new life.
So let us open ourselves to God in confession,
trusting the Lord’s desire to give us peace.
Prayer of Confession
God of the empty tomb and our empty hearts,
when we are afraid to speak our faith in the world,
forgive us and help us to find our voice.
When we are afraid to forgive and to love again,
forgive us and give us the power to forgive.
When we are afraid to stand up to misguided authority,
join with the weak to make us all strong.
When we are confined by our hurts,
touch us with your wounded hands and set us free.
When we are locked behind our doubts and fears,
pass through our barricades,
open our hearts, and give us peace. Amen.
(Silence)
Assurance of Pardon
The Passing of the Peace
Jesus came and stood among his fearful disciples and said, “Peace be with you.”
He speaks that same word to us today.
Not a peace that ignores our wounds
, but a peace that meets us in them and breathes new life.
So, with the peace of Christ in your heart, turn and greet one another:
The peace of Christ be with you.
And also with you.

In Christ Alone
CCLI SONG # 3350395
In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light my strength my song
This Cornerstone this solid Ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love what depths of peace
When fears are stilled when strivings cease
My Comforter my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand
In Christ alone who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
Till on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live
There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin's curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ
No guilt in life no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life's first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand

Though Satan should buffet though trials should come
Let this blessed assurance control
That Christ hath regarded my helpless estate
And hath shed His own blood for my soul
It is well (it is well)
With my soul (with my soul)
It is well it is well with my soul
My sin O the bliss of this glorious thought
My sin not in part but the whole
Is nailed to the cross and I bear it no more
