The current edition of the Life Together newsletter covers the whole summer! I hope that you will take the time to read it through and put important dates on your personal calendars. We have some great activities planned this summer, and many volunteers are needed! Family Camping, Back-Packing, General Assembly Worship, 4th of July Parade, and VBS are just a few. You will find more information about these events and more in this newsletter. Another exciting opportunity this summer happens when the River Community Church will be meeting at Westminster on Sunday afternoons July 13 – August 17. The River usually meets at San Jose State, but they are unable to for those weeks. I co-led the God’s Politics Discussion Group with one of the leaders from the River earlier this year. I’m hoping that Westminster folks might visit the River Worship Celebrations while they are with us as a way of connecting with this great church and to experience a different style of worship and ministry. A big change also takes place this summer, as Melia Mann returns to college to finish her music degree. Melia, Micah, Lily and Silas will all be moving to Santa Cruz. We will dearly miss Melia in the office and leading worship, and Micah in the Youth Group! Please pray for the Manns, as they step out in faith on this new adventure! I’ll be in Africa with Pat Montgomery by the time you read this. Please pray that the Lord would be with us while we are there and get us both back home again. Also pray that I am able to make a good solid connection for a 2009 WPC African Mission Trip! I’ll be returning June 24, and Pat will return the first week in July. Have a great summer!
